Jet Set Radio HD Rerelease includes new features, may not have a few original tracks
Going along with an ongoing custom graffiti contest (which will include 18 new pieces of graffiti picked from competitors in the contest), some new areas include Batam Street and Grind Square in the NA version coming out for PSN and XBLA. If you’re unfamiliar with the original Dreamcast game, the point of the game is that you skate around colorful environments trying to graffiti up the landscape while officiers in SWAT gear attempt to hugtackle you to death.
The bad news with the new announcement, however, is that Jurassic 5 and Rob Zombie music may not appear in the game. SEGA has stated that though, as of right now, 70% of the original music has already been secured, it’s been difficult for the company to track down some copyrights which have changed hands (seemingly numerous times) since the original game’s release. Most of the game’s original soundtrack seems to have pulled through, though!
No official release date has been mentioned just yet, but SEGA is still pinning a “Summer 2012” release schedule for the remastered game.

Though Japan has a Premium Edition for the game, the same treatment is not being extended to North America and Europe. However, on the plus side, you get all the extra costumes (except pre-order bonus ones) included on the disc! That’s right- no extra cost. You get them, even the anime cosplay ones!
The game is set in NA for June 12th and Europe for June 15th!
